Highest Speed Limit

The first numeric speed limit for automobiles was the 10 mph (16 km/h) limit introduced in the United Kingdom in 1861.

The present highest posted speed limit in the world, 160 km/h (99 mph), applied on two motorways in the UAE.
1) Abu Dhabi – Al Ain Rd
2) Sh. Khalifa Highway

In general, most countries follow speed limits less than 130 kph.
