Where there are many modes of transport with inequal opportunities, safety will be the focal point for the transportation professionals. That’s where transport integration plays a vital role for a sustainable transportation system.

I’m Dr. Jaydip Goyani, the Road Safety and Traffic Integration Engineer at VNC. My area of expertise is traffic safety and data analysis, driver behavior, pedestrian and statistical modeling, and multimodal transportation by integrating various modes of transport like cars, buses, pedestrians, bicycles, e-scooters, etc. During my PhD program, I visited Toronto to learn the best practices for considering safety elements in geometric design. My research work resulted in the publication of 14 international journals and 24 international and national conference papers.

My responsibilities at VNC are to handle the traffic impact studies, crowd modeling, traffic safety, and transport integration parts of the projects in Sharjah, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Ras Al Khaimah. We will soon be embarking on projects in the KSA, Qatar, and Oman.
