The project scope includes thirty different communities spread across Dubai. In light of the swift growth of e-scooters and bicycles in Dubai, it is necessary to assess the current demand for micromobility and research these two novel modes of transportation by providing secure and efficient routes.
For this group of communities, which includes mixed-use and business-oriented land uses, in addition to locals (Emiratis) and expatriates, an e-scooter and bicycle count was carried out on weekdays and weekends. The annual growth factor is used to estimate future demand based on the current count to investigate how employing micromobility communities can reduce vehicle traffic.
The outcome of the project is the micromobility routes have been identified which will be implemented in the thirty communities in stages.
In my experience, VNC has been proven to be very responsive, shows a real interest in understanding your need and project context, and subsequently provide as agreed.
