Mina Al Arab Transportation Master Plan, Ras Al Khaimah

The master plan for Mina Al Arab was prepared with the intention of creating a resort-style development that would include two islands and a mainland area. Subsequently, in 2021, RAK Properties redesigned the development and changed the land use and GFA distributions for different plots within the area. Approximately 15,000 vehicle trips will be generated by the project during the critical peak hour. VNC is commissioned to prepare the transportation master plan for the development. The updated land use and network proposals were given as input to RAKSTM and the future traffic demand was predicted which was used to derive the required network mitigations for E11, E311, and east-west connecting roads in the study area. The comprehensive plans were prepared for public transportation as well as micromobility in and around the development.
