When the firm policies are set, it is so easy to navigate through the unknown difficult terrain.

Hi there, I’m Srinivas Chennaiah, a transportation professional who oversees all the projects by leading the team at VNC.

After finishing my postgraduation at IIT Madras in 2007, I joined Scott Wilson India as an assistant engineer and served the company brief period.

Later in 2008, I joined Dar Al Handasah in Pune however, most of my time with the company was spent in Egypt and Lebanon. Dar provided me with great opportunities as I was exposed to many transport modelling software packages – PTV’s Suite, Caliper TransCAD, and Bentley’s CUBE. Whatever the work that has been assigned to me, I excelled to the best. With the wonderful family at one end and amazing company on the other end, my life was going beautifully. At these times, life threw a major challenge on me and I had to take a break for 3 years due to my health conditions.

I left like I was ready to reboot my career in 2017. So, I started doing small tasks as a freelancer but these were not sufficient for my capacity.

Mid 2018, through a trusted friend, joined CDM Smith India, where I have pushed myself out of my comfort zone through the invaluable inputs from my colleagues. This was the time I gained momentum and got involved in major projects with challenging deliverables.

My journey with VNC started in August 2022. Being my long-term friend, Mr. Bhaskara asked me what I would be doing in VNC from now on, which I haven’t done in other companies. Here I am. Yes, there is work pressure, but I enjoy it. And of course, there will be unrealistic targets, but I surprised myself with how I did it. And honestly, there is no time for the quality deliverable, but I don’t compromise. Altogether, the wonderful journey has just begun.
